Ibe Sodawalla, Composer/Arranger

Ibe Sodawalla is a composer/arranger under his business Thoughts In Progress Productions,a company that focuses on creative music design and publications. An endorsed artist of Sibelius Software, Ibe currently is the brass arranger for Legends and Colt Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps and arranges for a number of high schools and colleges across the country.

As an entrepreneur, Ibe is the the Executive Director and founder of the Legends Performing Arts Association from Kalamazoo MI. This organization sponsors the Legends Drum & Bugle Corps and Legends Indoor Ensemble with programs developing for the youth in the West Michigan area. Under his direction, Legends DBC is rapidly becoming a household name in the activity and is a member of the Drum Corps International (DCI) Open Class. Ibe is a member of the DCI Open Class Advisory Committee and also serves as an Educational Consultant with Ambassador Tours, specializing in group performance tours.

Ibe maintains an active schedule as an arranger for the Western Michigan University Bronco Marching Band and Sam Houston State University Bearkat Marching Band. He is also the Music Director for the Legends Indoor Ensemble and assists various schools as an arranger and consultant in the Kalamazoo MI area, Las Vegas, Texas, Missouri, Iowa, and Wisconsin. He adjudicates with the USSBA circuit and is a sought out clinician for various programs/events.

Prior to Legends, Ibe was involved in Operations for the Colts Youth Organization from Dubuque, IA assisting in areas of tour planning, bingo administration, sponsorship and advertising, show promotions/ticketing and office management. Before moving to Dubuque, IA, he served in the role Executive Director at Dimensions, a growing drum and bugle corps in the west Michigan area. Through his times at Dimensions, he has served as Program Coordinator, Staff Coordinator, Tour Manager, Brass Arranger/Instructor.

Ibe holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Michigan University, where he studied music education and entrepreneurship.
